The course
Open Water is where diving stops being a holiday activity and becomes a skill you own. It is the standard first certification worldwide: finish it here and you can rent tanks and dive with any operator on any ocean, for life.
With us the course is private. One instructor, one student, no fixed group tempo. You do the theory on your phone before or during your trip, then we spend the days on the boat. Skills happen in calm, shallow bays around 2 to 5 metres. When you are steady, we move to the four certification dives on real Hurghada reefs.
Nobody gets rushed and nobody gets parked. If a skill needs five tries, it gets five tries. If you are a natural, we use the spare time for extra reef diving. That is the whole point of a private course.
Skills
The first session is about one thing: getting comfortable. Slow breathing, clearing your mask, finding out that water is a friendly place at 3 metres.
The skill that separates divers from swimmers. You learn to hover, rise and sink with your lungs, and stop touching the reef by accident.
Set up your own gear, share air with a buddy, recover a lost regulator without stress. Simple drills, repeated until they are boring. Boring means safe.
By dive four you are checking your own air, tracking depth and time, and navigating back to the boat. Your instructor watches instead of leads.
Where this takes you next
Unlocks 30 m, wrecks and night dives. Many divers combine both courses in one week.

Did my Open Water here in 4 days. My instructor noticed I was nervous and just slowed everything down until I was ready. By the last dive I was hovering over the reef grinning like an idiot. Best money I have ever spent.

Open Water Kurs komplett auf Deutsch gemacht. Theorie vorab online, dann 3 Tage Boot. Mein Instructor war geduldig und sehr genau bei den Übungen. Die Riffe vor Hurghada sind der perfekte Ort zum Lernen. Klare Empfehlung.

In drie dagen mijn Open Water gehaald. Kleine groep, eigenlijk gewoon privé les. De instructeur legde alles rustig uit en de riffen waren prachtig. Lunch aan boord was ook top. Aanrader voor beginners.

Good to know
Three to four days. Theory runs online with PADI eLearning before or during your holiday, then you spend the days on our boat: shallow-water skills first, then the four open water certification dives. Boats run daily 8 AM - 4 PM.
It costs €330 all-inclusive with us: PADI eLearning, certification fees, all equipment, four boat dives, lunch on board and a private instructor. No hidden extras and you pay at the end.
You need to be comfortable in the water, not fast. PADI asks for a 200 m swim (or 300 m with mask, fins and snorkel) and 10 minutes of floating. Take any pace you like, there is no clock.
Skills start at 2 to 5 metres in calm bays. The four certification dives go progressively deeper, to a maximum of 18 m, which is the Open Water certification limit.
Yes, and we recommend it. PADI eLearning works on your phone and takes 5 to 8 hours in total. Finish it at home and your Hurghada days are pure water time.
Then we slow down, that is all. A private course has no group waiting on you. Skills can be repeated as often as needed, and our instructors have taught nervous students for years. Almost everyone certifies.
The water is 28°C, the visibility is over 30 m, and a boat with your name on it leaves tomorrow at 8 AM.
