What this course really gives you
Enriched Air Nitrox is the most popular specialty in the world for a boring, beautiful reason: it simply gives you more diving. Less nitrogen in your tank means more allowed bottom time, especially on the 15 to 25 m reef profiles you actually dive on holiday.
The course is one relaxed day. You learn why nitrox works, where its limits are, and the two skills that matter for the rest of your diving life: analysing a cylinder yourself and setting your computer for the mix. We do the analysis drills on real tanks on our boat, not on a whiteboard.
The practical difference is easy to feel. On a repetitive two-dive day, an air diver is often pushed shallow or short on the second dive. A nitrox diver just keeps diving. Book it as a standalone day or bolt it onto any course or dive package.

More oxygen has a depth limit. You learn to calculate the maximum operating depth for any mix and why divers never guess it.
Analyse every tank yourself
The core habit of the course: put the analyser on the valve, verify the mix, label the tank, log it. Thirty seconds that professionals never skip.
Set up your computer for the mix

Corso nitrox veloce e ben fatto. Teoria online, poi analisi delle bombole in barca e subito due immersioni EAN32. Tempi di fondo molto più lunghi sulla seconda immersione. Unico neo: avrei voluto più esercizi di pianificazione.

Enriched Air Nitrox questions
Is nitrox safer than air?
Used within its limits, nitrox reduces nitrogen loading, which is why many divers feel fresher after repetitive dives. It adds one rule of its own: an oxygen depth limit you must calculate and respect. The course exists to make that rule automatic.
Does the nitrox course include dives?
PADI does not require dives for this specialty, so the certification can be done in a day of theory and practical gas analysis. Most of our students add an afternoon of nitrox dives the same day to feel the difference immediately.
How long does nitrox certification take?
One day. eLearning takes 2 to 4 hours, then we do cylinder analysis, computer setup and planning exercises on the boat. You can combine it with a normal diving day without losing dives.
Do I need my own dive computer?
No. We provide nitrox-capable computers during the course and teach you the setup on whatever model you will actually dive with. If you own a computer, bring it and we configure yours.
Is nitrox worth it for a one-week Hurghada trip?
If you dive two or more times a day, yes without question. The certification is lifetime, the course costs €215, and it pays itself back in bottom time on the very first diving day. It is the best value card in the PADI system.
